I met with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva @KGeorgieva. The IMF will help find part of the funding Ukraine needs to maintain its financial resilience next year. I thank the IMF for this decision. Ultimately, every economic support measure is about ensuring fair protection for our people. We also discussed the importance of voting on the laws that are part of our commitments to our partners. The Verkhovna Rada has already voted on some of these decisions, and all other laws needed for financial support will be passed by the end of the year. I briefed Kristalina Georgieva on the security situation in Ukraine and the changes in Russia’s air attack tactics. The Russians are trying not only to destroy life itself, but also to disrupt the functioning of businesses and the state as much as possible. That is why macrofinancial assistance is especially important for us right now. I thank the IMF for all its support programs, which are helping our economy withstand.
