[Fairshake Plans to Invest $30 Million Against Sherrod Brown]
Odaily Planet Daily News – On September 15, the U.S. Senate failed to advance the 'Digital Asset Market Clarity Act' with a vote of 49 in favor and 50 against. Given the limited remaining session time in Congress before 2027, the likelihood of the bill passing has decreased. The political action committee Fairshake, supported by Coinbase and Ripple Labs, plans to invest $30 million in the Ohio Senate election to oppose Sherrod Brown. Fairshake previously spent over $130 million on advertisements during the 2024 election cycle and approximately $41 million opposing Brown. Stand With Crypto, an advocacy organization launched by Coinbase in 2023, stated that it will mobilize supporters for the 2026 midterm elections based on lawmakers' voting records on the bill. As of Monday, Fairshake and its affiliated political action committees have not disclosed any additional expenditures following the vote. (Cointelegraph)
