**[Kraken Co-CEO Criticizes U.S. Crypto Regulatory Stance, Calls Europe’s MiCA More Mature]**
Odaily Planet Daily News – David Ripley, Co-CEO of U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, stated that Europe has adopted a more pragmatic approach to crypto regulation, with the *Markets in Crypto-Assets* (MiCA) framework providing clarity for market rules. In contrast, the U.S. regulatory environment is more adversarial. Ripley pointed out that the CLARITY Act has been progressing slowly, with related efforts ongoing for years. He believes that if the U.S. continues to delay advancing crypto regulatory legislation, it risks ceding its leadership in financial innovation to the European Union. Kraken obtained a MiCA license from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) in June 2025, allowing it to operate across 30 member states in the European Economic Area (EEA). *(Bitcoin.com News)*
