[Turkey Says It May Provide Assistance to Saudi Arabia] Odaily Planet Daily News - On September 19, Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan stated that Turkey is prepared to provide assistance to Saudi Arabia in response to recent attacks by Yemen's Houthi forces, in accordance with the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement. Fidan mentioned that the signatory countries of the agreement are closely monitoring the attacks on Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia's military needs may focus on certain technical issues, which Turkey will be able to address. Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan signed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement on August 7. According to a joint statement issued by the three parties on the same day, the agreement aims to strengthen collective deterrence against any acts of aggression. The agreement stipulates that an armed attack on any one of the three countries will be considered an attack on all three nations. (CCTV International News)
