**[Binance Security Announcement: iPhone Users, Please Check If You Have Installed FomoPeek, Which Can Exploit iOS Vulnerabilities to Gain Root Access]** BlockBeats News, September 19 — Binance Wallet has issued a security announcement: iPhone users, please check if you have ever installed the FomoPeek application. Binance has become aware of a recent security incident disclosed within the community. According to security firms such as SlowMist, the third-party application FomoPeek (versions 1.1-1.2) contains malicious code that exploits vulnerabilities in the iOS system to gain root access to devices. It may also access sensitive data stored on the device, including private keys, mnemonic phrases, login credentials, chat records, files, and more. Please note that this type of malware directly targets the device itself. If the attack is successful, all application data on the affected device may be accessed. Please check the following: 1. Are you using an iPhone or iPad running iOS 26.x or earlier versions? 2. Have you installed the FomoPeek application? If both conditions apply to your situation, it is recommended to take the following steps immediately: 1. Delete the FomoPeek application and do not reinstall it. 2. Update your iOS system to the latest version. 3. For users of self-custody wallets: Create a new wallet on a device that has never had the application installed, and transfer your assets to the new wallet address. 4. If you notice any abnormal asset activity, retain the affected device and related evidence, and contact customer support for further investigation. Additionally, we remind all users: Do not install applications from untrusted sources, and keep your device software up to date.
