In 2014, two MIT students organized a giveaway offering every undergraduate $100 in bitcoin. About 3,100 students accepted. Nearly 1,400 never signed up. Each student received roughly 0.3 BTC. Anyone who kept that amount would now have approximately $24,400 from the original $100 giveaway.
