[Prince Group's 'Second-in-Command' Hu Xiaowei's £47 Million London Mansion Frozen]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on September 19, citing Caixin and OCCRP, documents from the UK Land Registry reveal that a luxury mansion located in the affluent Belgravia district of London has been subjected to asset freezing measures. The property was purchased in October 2023 for £53 million, approximately 475 million RMB, and is registered under the name of Hu Xiaowei's wife, Zhao Chen. The UK government had already imposed sanctions on Hu Xiaowei in March 2026, accusing him of having deep ties with Chen Zhi, the founder of Cambodia's Prince Group, and providing him with funding and financial services. The sanctions include asset freezes and travel bans. Although the property was held under his spouse's name, regulatory authorities penetrated the ownership structure to execute the freezing operation.
Hu Xiaowei is regarded as the second most important figure in the Prince Group. He was apprehended in Osaka, Japan, in June 2026, and his assets distributed across multiple countries are being progressively restricted and disposed of.
