On March 29, 2021, the first IBC connection was established between the Cosmos and IRIS Network. Five years on, IBC connects 115+ digital ledgers, has moved USD 50B+ in assets, and operates with no third-party intermediary. Today, it remains a neutral, open-source standard for interoperability.
