[Crypto Technology Service Provider Haruko Suffers Cyberattack, 15 Clients Affected, Some Small Hedge Funds May Face Asset Losses] According to a report by CoinDesk, three sources familiar with the matter revealed that earlier this week, Haruko, a service provider offering crypto technology solutions to institutions, suffered a cyberattack, impacting 15 clients. Among them, some small hedge fund clients may have incurred asset losses as a result. The security breach led to the exposure of clients' 'read-only' API (Application Programming Interface) information and trading data on exchanges. The breach occurred because Haruko was using bare-metal servers (physical computers exclusively used by the company) instead of cloud services with additional security measures (such as Amazon Web Services/AWS). Haruko stated that the vulnerability has been fixed and server-side keys have been updated.
