[US CFTC Submits Crypto Market Regulation Proposal to White House After CLARITY Act Stalls]
According to Bloomberg, after the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act this week, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is accelerating efforts to establish cryptocurrency regulatory rules. The CFTC has submitted a new proposal aimed at regulating cryptocurrency trading and markets to the White House for review. Documents released by the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on Friday show that the proposal was received on Thursday. If the CLARITY Act were passed, the CFTC would have become the primary regulatory authority for the digital asset market.
