[Dragonfly Partner Calls for Zcash Development Fund to End by 2028] Odaily Planet Daily News – Haseeb Qureshi, managing partner of the crypto-focused venture capital firm Dragonfly, has proposed that the Zcash development fund should cease operations upon its expiration in 2028 under the current rules. Qureshi wrote, 'I believe this should be the final development fund.' He stated that the current fund size is sufficient to support the remaining development work for Zcash, and with the fund's value approaching $100 million, it may face risks of 'politicization' in the future. According to ZecStats data, as of press time, the Zcash development fund holds 63,962 ZEC, valued at approximately $95 million. These remarks come amid ongoing industry discussions about the growing size of the development fund. Previously, the rise in ZEC prices significantly boosted the fund's value. Some, however, argue that Zcash should continue to maintain the development fund. Paradigm founder Matt Huang stated on Wednesday that, given the advancements in AI's network attack capabilities and the rapid development of quantum computing, the fund is particularly important.
