[QCP: Bitcoin Absorbs CLARITY Setback and Fed Rate Hike Impact, ETF Funds Turn to Net Inflows]
Odaily Planet Daily News - QCP Capital stated that Bitcoin faced two major bearish events within 48 hours: procedural voting blockage of the CLARITY Act and the Federal Reserve's rate hike. Despite this, Bitcoin's price demonstrated some resilience, briefly dropping to a monthly low of approximately $75,900 and currently stabilizing around $76,500. QCP pointed out that Bitcoin spot ETFs saw net outflows of $450 million and $296 million on September 15 and 16, respectively, but turned to net inflows of $159 million on September 17. Among these, BlackRock's IBIT recorded a net inflow of $184 million, indicating an improvement in fund flows following the Fed's rate hike. QCP believes the 25 basis point rate hike was already fully priced in by the market, and the more noteworthy aspect is Fed Chair Walsh's hawkish remarks on inflation and policy restrictiveness. However, U.S. Treasury yields subsequently fell across the board, suggesting that the market may perceive the current rate hike as reducing the need for further hikes in the future.
