Every time I feel like selling, I look at these and remind myself to hold on till the end:
1. DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging) and hold. I’ve never seen anyone hold for over 4 years and still lose money.
2. If you can’t hold, you can’t get rich.
3. The stock market is a tool designed to transfer money from the impatient to the patient.
4. Time is the friend of great investors and the enemy of mediocre ones.
5. Paper hands find opportunities; diamond hands turn those opportunities into wealth.
6. The real big money isn’t in buying and selling—it’s in waiting.
7. When others are saying, “This wave is enough,” that’s usually when it’s just starting to go mainstream.
8. When people in the group start mocking you for still holding, the breakout is often near.
9. The world is full of foolish gamblers. Their returns are no match for patient investors.
10. The moment you sell, the whales get the chips to pump the next leg up.
11. Taking small profits feels good, but seeing others make 20x later hurts more.
12. Those who last the longest aren’t the ones who buy early—they’re the ones who sell late.
13. Understanding the business is hard; holding what you don’t understand is harder. Most people can’t hold because they don’t understand. If you truly understand, you shouldn’t have trouble holding.
14. Let your profits run for a while. They know better than you how far they can go.
15. The stronger your urge to sell, the more it shows the emotional wave isn’t over yet.
16. Successful investing requires time, discipline, and patience.
17. Wall Street makes money by overtrading; you make money by not overtrading.
18. Others use your panic selling to add to their positions.
19. Buy and hold, then wait patiently.
20. Find a good investment opportunity, then hold it forever.
If you can’t hold, you can’t get rich! #DiamondHands
