According to Wu Blockchain, the market-neutral synthetic USD protocol Neutrl has announced that NUSD and sNUSD holders can now submit applications via the official redemption portal to exchange their tokens for USDC at a fixed rate based on previously disclosed liquidity reserves. Once redeemed, the corresponding tokens will be burned. Users need to connect their wallets and sign an on-chain message to verify ownership. The redemption process is expected to remain open until November 14, 2026, subject to the terms and conditions.
An X user posted that Neutrl currently only supports redemptions at approximately 50%, meaning depositing $10,000 would only allow for a withdrawal of about $5,000, and users are required to sign a disclaimer. The user also mentioned that the project team has yet to disclose the reasons for the losses, details of the damages, or the scale of remaining assets. Back in late August, Neutrl revealed that issues with strategy positions had caused partial liquidity reserves to become restricted, leading to the suspension of related smart contracts.
