Yesterday afternoon, The Government of Jamaica signed a loan agreement with the Caribbean Development Bank to advance Jamaica’s Rural Water Supply Programme. Access to reliable water is essential for every family. The programme will support improvements to water systems in rural communities across St. Thomas, St. Mary, Clarendon, St. Ann, St. Elizabeth and Trelawny. For families who have had to store water in tanks, depend on trucked water or manage without a reliable supply, improving these systems can make a real difference in everyday life. We remain focused on strengthening the infrastructure Jamaicans depend on and expanding access to a dependable water supply in our rural communities.
