[Five Suspects Arrested in Crypto Asset Kidnapping and Extortion Case in Haute-Savoie, France] According to the French National Gendarmerie, police arrested five suspects involved in a crypto asset kidnapping and extortion case between September 7 and 8 in the Paris region, Isère, and Brittany. The case originated in March when a woman was attacked in her home, tied up, beaten, and forced to obtain so-called crypto assets. Four of the five suspects have been charged, with three currently in custody awaiting trial. The investigation is ongoing.
