Totally agree with 武兄's perspective, and yesterday both the SEC and CFTC chairmen made similar statements. Even though clear legislation hasn’t been passed yet, these two entities still have tools to continue supporting cryptocurrency.
For me, what I want to do most right now—and what I’d love to see—is the ability to use stablecoins to purchase U.S. Treasury bonds. While there’s already a lot of RWA (Real World Assets) in stocks, there’s still too little on the bond side. Sure, BlackRock, Fidelity, and Franklin Templeton are involved, but their offerings are targeted at professional investors, not the general public.
Recently, I’ve also consulted some lawyers in Singapore. There are ways to execute this, but it’s extremely complicated. I’ve reached out to some friends in compliant banks and brokerages to see if there’s any opportunity to push this forward.
