The House tonight unanimously passed the final version of legislation to reauthorize CDC funding for five years for lyme and other tick-borne disease research. The Kay Hagan Tick Reauthorization Act, named after the late Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) who passed away in 2019 due to complications from the Powassan tick-borne virus, was approved by the Senate also by voice vote last month and now heads to the White House.
