[Derive's New Proposal Suggests Deploying V3 and Shutting Down Derive Chain] The Derive community has released a new DIP proposal, recommending the deployment and launch of Derive V3. It proposes migrating all positions and balances from V2 to the V3 genesis state, transferring cross-chain bridge funds to L1, and gradually shutting down the Derive Chain. V3 is a zero-knowledge exchange based on zkVM, settling on the Ethereum mainnet. It adopts an off-chain matching and ZK proof-based risk and settlement mechanism, where computationally intensive margin, pricing, and settlement processes are executed within zkVM and proven off-chain. Ethereum L1 only verifies the proofs, while state differences are published to Celestia to ensure data availability.
