For Trump, he should never have gone to war with Iran in the first place. Even if he did, he shouldn’t have killed Khamenei. One mistake after another has now left him mentally collapsing, choosing to bury his head in the sand and avoid facing reality. If he calls for a ceasefire now, it’ll definitely hurt domestic public opinion. Even if he loses the midterms, he’d still have two years to recover. If he doesn’t stop the war, oil prices will keep skyrocketing. If they stay between $120-$150 for two months until November, losing both houses of Congress is inevitable.
