Ethlabs researcher Derek Chiang stated that collaboration on account abstraction (AA) proposals EIP-8130 and EIP-8141 (Frame Transactions) failed last week, with Ethereum L1 and Base moving forward with different standards. While both sides aim to support AA features like gasless transactions and Passkey, Ethereum places greater emphasis on censorship resistance, privacy, and quantum resistance, favoring ERC-4337, EIP-7701, and EIP-8141. On the other hand, L2s like Base prioritize scalability, configurability, and compliance recognizability, leaning towards EIP-8130. Chiang noted that this could lead to further fragmentation of the EVM and wallet experience, potentially requiring wallets and application layers to mask transaction type differences across chains in the future. https://(wublock123.com)/news/ethereum-base-account-abstraction-split-eip-8141-eip-8130-68368
