After 900K views, Unipcs' Arc tutorial turned into a disaster—at least they admitted their mistake in time? This morning, Unipcs posted a long thread bullish on Arc's short-term opportunities. FOMO-ing hard, they planned to jump in within days of Arc's launch. They even prepped by buying LONG and the top three Meme tokens on Long, and directly wrote a three-step deposit guide for their followers: Robinhood buys CRCL → Long bridges to Arc → Buy tokens on Long. In the next few hours, the community started reverse due diligence, and issues were uncovered one after another: Long isn’t an official bridge for Arc, Circle, or Robinhood. Essentially, it’s a team-custodied asset with IOUs issued on the Arc side. Then the website started acting up. On-chain, someone tracked around 46 ETH being released from the vault to a suspicious address. The keeper paused operations, and users reported that when redeeming, tokens were burned but the funds didn’t arrive. Whether it’s a technical issue, key management problem, or internal operation is still unclear, but the risk structure has been fully exposed. By the afternoon, Unipcs posted an apology: admitted they didn’t do enough research and deserved most of the criticism. They also emphasized that they didn’t take any money, their position was only in the mid-five figures, they hadn’t realized any profits, and they weren’t trying to “crown” Long.
