[Kalshi Co-Founder: Open Competition Drives Price Discovery, the Strongest Financial Markets Are Built on the Same Principles of Competition]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on September 14, Tarek Mansour, co-founder of the prediction market platform Kalshi, stated that before the U.S. Open Tennis Championship finals, his team published full-page advertisements in *The Wall Street Journal*, *The New York Times*, and *The Washington Post*, emphasizing that 'competition makes things better.' Using the career of five-time U.S. Open champion Pete Sampras as an example, he explained that truly open competition can expose weaknesses, reward effective strategies, and drive participants to continuously improve.
Mansour further pointed out that strong financial markets are also built on the principles of open competition: anyone can participate, everyone follows the same rules, prices and trading activities remain transparent, and participants should not be penalized for being too successful. He believes that traders invest funds based on different information and perspectives, and the process of competition drives price discovery, making market prices a real-time signal reflecting collective expectations.
