I don't think Trump's rude bluster matters much at all. People are so focused on how much he has insulted Canada, but it is just noise. Media fodder. Reality is what matters. Canada (and the EU) cannot divorce from the United States. They are not capable economically nor militarily of doing this in a lasting way. This is like when a kid decides to run away from home so he puts a sandwich in his backpack and gets to the end of the street before turning back. The streets are dangerous, he only has one sandwich, and he can't defend himself alone. Canada will continue exporting majority of its goods to the U.S.,. EU will continue buying gobs of U.S. defense exports, and the U.S. will continue pushing both of them to squeeze China out of their supply chains and grow Western industrial capacity.(𝐓𝐗𝐌𝐂)
