[Three Insider Trading Investigations Approved, CFTC Involves Polymarket Biden Pardon, Iran War, and Google Contracts] Odaily Planet Daily News – The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has secretly approved three insider trading investigations related to Polymarket transactions, involving contracts on Biden pardons, the Iran war, and Google-related events. CFTC Chairman Michael Selig approved the investigation into the Biden pardon-related contract in May, after a trader reportedly profited over $300,000 from the relevant market. In the same month, the CFTC also approved an investigation into the Iran war contract, following reports that a group of suspicious accounts had profited $2.4 million with a win rate of approximately 98%. In July, the CFTC further initiated an investigation into Google-related Polymarket contracts, focusing on individuals who may have traded using non-public information about Google's 2025 search rankings. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York is also conducting a parallel investigation. Polymarket stated that it has referred the relevant matters to law enforcement and is cooperating with the investigation.
