[Symbiosis: Approximately 15 BTC recovered, final losses still being calculated, 20% white hat bounty offered to hacker] Cross-chain protocol Symbiosis disclosed in a statement that on September 11, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the Bitcoin Bridge (Bitcoin cross-chain bridge) to launch an attack. Currently, BTC cross-chain routing has been suspended, while other routes (including EVM chains, TRON, TON, etc.) and components like Octopools are operating normally and remain unaffected. The team has recovered approximately 15 BTC, which has been transferred to a multi-signature wallet controlled by the team. Symbiosis has proposed a white hat bounty to the attacker, offering 20% of the recovered funds, valid until September 13. After this deadline, if anyone provides clues to assist in recovering the funds, they will be offered the same proportion (20%) as a reward. The final amount of losses is still being calculated and will be announced in subsequent updates.
