According to WSJ, a California woman lost over $8 million in a crypto investment scam, then taught herself blockchain tracing and tracked the stolen funds to a wallet worth over $100 million. She later pushed for a Turkish court to freeze the related assets. Meanwhile, crypto exchange OKX identified 144 wallets and approximately 263,000 transactions involving around $2.94 billion in funds during its investigation of the suspicious activity and submitted the findings to the U.S. Secret Service. U.S. law enforcement then launched 'Operation Big Tuna,' ultimately seizing about $225 million in crypto assets—the largest crypto seizure in U.S. Secret Service history. Hundreds of scam victims are now seeking to recover their losses from the seized assets, but they must prove on-chain links between their stolen funds and the related wallets. The final compensation plan is yet to be determined. https://(wublock123.com)/news/us-secret-service-seizes-225m-crypto-assets-investment-scam-trace-68219
