According to *The New York Times*, FTX founder SBF (Sam Bankman-Fried) filed an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court on September 10 to overturn his 2023 convictions for fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering. He is currently serving a 25-year sentence. His lawyers argue that the trial court should not have barred evidence showing that 'customers ultimately did not suffer losses' and have also challenged the forfeiture order of approximately $11 billion in assets. The U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the original conviction this June, and it remains unclear whether the Supreme Court will take up the case.
Additionally, public records show that SBF has applied for a presidential pardon, which is currently pending.
