Liquid Network resumed block production on Thursday after deploying an emergency patch, but transactions and peg-in operations remain suspended.
The outage stemmed from the extraction of approximately 4,000 BTC (around $320 million) from the federation wallet on September 6 due to a vulnerability in the Elements range proof verification cache. The patch, Elements v23.3.4, fixed the cache key, with 3,400 BTC returned, while about 598 BTC (around $46 million) remain unrecovered.
