[European Central Bank Warns of Upside Inflation Risks, Says It Will Remain Well Above Target for a Long Time] Jin10 News, September 10 – The European Central Bank (ECB) has raised its inflation forecasts for next year and 2028, citing continued inflationary pressures from the Middle East conflict. ECB staff now project overall inflation to average 2.5% in 2027 and 2.1% in 2028, higher than the 2.3% and 2.0% figures in the June macroeconomic forecast. This year’s inflation forecast remains unchanged at 3.0%. The ECB noted that inflation risks are tilted to the upside, stating that inflation will remain well above target for an extended period.
