Hunter Biden claims he didn’t make money from LAPTOP, but analysts say associated wallets have already cashed out millions of dollars.
Hunter Biden posted a response to the intense volatility of the LAPTOP token after its launch, which sparked rumors of a '99% crash' and 'rug pull.' He stated that these claims are inconsistent with the facts, asserting that he personally did not profit. The token’s FDV exceeds $1 billion, and the team is working on optimizing liquidity strategies.
On-chain analyst Books later refuted this, claiming to have verified multiple suspicious fund flows within the first three hours of the token’s launch:
One sales wallet cashed out $2.34 million, two airdrop wallets sold 4,276 tokens each during the early phase, cashing out $647,000, two bot wallets precisely targeted liquidity in the opening second, involving $716,000, and a liquidity pool created on September 7 (two days before public sale) collected $550,000 in fees. Additionally, 2.7 million tokens were deposited into the Bitvavo exchange before the DEX went live, with unclear profits.
He estimated verified profits to be around $4 million, with total figures potentially reaching $5–10 million. He also pointed out that the contract code itself has no issues, but the problem lies in the fund allocation prior to the token’s issuance.
