[Circle Plans $400 Million All-Stock Acquisition of Tazapay, Involving Over $25 Billion Annual Payment Volume] Odaily Planet Daily News: Stablecoin issuer Circle has agreed to acquire Singapore-based payment infrastructure company Tazapay in a $400 million all-stock transaction. The deal is expected to be completed by 2027, pending regulatory approvals, including approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Tazapay has over 60 banking and fintech partners and provides local payout infrastructure in more than 100 markets, with an annualized payment volume exceeding $25 billion, approximately 60% of which involves stablecoins. Since 2025, Tazapay has served as a design partner for the Circle Payments Network. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire stated that the integration of USDC, Tazapay's banking network, and institutional client base could drive global adoption. Circle's Senior Vice President of Payments Irfan Ganchi noted that the acquisition would enhance its global payment sending and receiving capabilities. (Bitcoin.com News)
