ETH's price action is the ultimate cure for overconfidence. Tried two trades myself yesterday—both long and short—and got stopped out on both. Profits didn’t lock in, all wiped out. It’s not luck, it’s a structural issue. On the 4-hour chart, ETH is stuck in the 2370-2530 range, swinging back and forth. Resistance at 2566, midline support at 2450, and strong support at 2355. It pumps to resistance and drops, dumps to support and bounces—how much it rises, it falls; how much it falls, it rebounds. My two trades went like this: long position pumped but didn’t close, retraced and hit stop-loss; short position dumped but didn’t close, bounced and hit stop-loss. In a choppy market, greed is the biggest enemy—wanting more after profits or holding losses hoping for a reversal just gets you smacked around. If the range isn’t broken, don’t chase trades. Either short near resistance or long near support, but don’t get greedy. Or wait for a confirmed breakout and follow the trend. I’m definitely in the latter camp!
