Insider: CLARITY may be split into multiple independent bills to target different sub-sectors

Odaily Planet Daily News - Andy, host of The Rollup podcast, posted on X stating that current rumors from Capitol Hill suggest that the likelihood of the CLARITY Act passing is almost zero. Although the prediction probability on Polymarket shows 18%, the actual likelihood may only be around 3%–5%. According to his understanding, it is widely acknowledged within Washington, D.C. that the bill is unlikely to pass, but no one can publicly admit this because the industry has already invested tens of millions of dollars and 18 months of resources to push for its implementation. The Democratic Party has yet to provide a substantive response to ethical concerns regarding Trump's interests in the crypto sector. Based on this, the odds for YES in the prediction market are likely overestimated, and NO might be a direction worth paying attention to.
Andy: "The CLARITY Act may subsequently be 'split and drafted into several independent bills,' each targeting specific sub-sectors of the crypto market. Following the failure of the CLARITY Act, what may follow are innovative exemption policies, regulations, or sub-bills focused on stablecoins, asset tokenization, perpetual contracts, and prediction markets. At this stage, lawmakers are more inclined to adopt a segmented and refined approach rather than introducing a comprehensive and broad-reaching crypto bill. From my conversations with insiders in Washington, this seems to be the more likely scenario in the long term."
