I spoke with Mark Rutte @SecGenNATO. I briefed him on the situation with Russian strikes, our defense needs, and preparations for meetings with envoys of the U.S. President. Mark and I see the need for progress in diplomacy in the same way, and the meetings taking place in the coming days could be useful. Second, I thank our partners for hearing our need to cover the gap in defense funding. We are working on this.
