[HSBC Raises US Treasury Yield Forecast, Expects More Hawkish Policy Path] Golden Finance reported on September 4 that HSBC has raised its yield forecasts for US Treasuries across all maturities. HSBC's US rate strategist Dhiraj Narula stated in a report that this adjustment reflects the bank's view that future monetary policy may take a more hawkish path, while the structural bottom for long-term US Treasury yields will also be higher. HSBC now forecasts the two-year US Treasury yield to reach 4.20% by the end of 2026, up from the previous forecast of 3.85%; by the end of 2027, it is expected to be 3.95%, up from the prior estimate of 3.50%. For the 10-year US Treasury yield, HSBC now predicts it will reach 4.65% by the end of 2026, compared to the previous forecast of 4.30%; by the end of 2027, it is expected to rise to 4.75%, up from the earlier estimate of 4.40%.
