According to Japan's *Sankei Shimbun*, *Saint Seiya* author Masami Kurumada has filed a lawsuit against his former manager, as well as their relatives and acquaintances, accusing them of misappropriating approximately 4.68 billion yen from three companies, including Kurumada Production, over a span of six years. The allegations include transferring funds through company accounts and withholding copyright licensing fees. Part of the misused funds was reportedly invested in cryptocurrency. The incident came to light during a 2024 tax investigation by the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau.
