John Ternus just became Apple's new CEO. Target pay: $58M ($3M salary + $55M stock).
Most of that equity vests over years. But still...
Two weeks at that rate is about $2.23M.
Drop that into the S&P 500. It averages 10% a year. Take out only 4%, reinvest the rest, and you've got a flywheel. Your withdrawals keep pace with inflation while your principal keeps growing.
That's ~$89K a year. Forever.
More than the US median wage of $65K.
From two weeks of CEO-rate pay.
Anyway, congrats John.(Lark Davis)
