What looks like gold but isn't gold?
The US Mint’s new $1 Trump coin for the 250th anniversary. It’s actually 88.5% copper with zero precious metals inside.
It has a $1 face value and is headed to regular circulation, but the Mint is selling them online for $1.55 to $2.44 a pop. On top of that, they tossed 250k coins with a rare "July 4th" privy mark randomly into orders like loot boxes.
The government basically printed a physical memecoin, pre-mined rare traits, and sold everyone a $1 stablecoin at a 150% markup. Respect the hustle.(Lark Davis)
