OPEC+ SET TO HOLD OIL OUTPUT STEADY
OPEC+ is expected to keep oil production policy unchanged for October at Sunday’s meeting, according to Reuters sources.
The group is completing the rollback of a 1.65 million barrel-per-day production cut introduced in 2023.
However, actual output has lagged quotas as conflicts in Iran and Ukraine disrupt exports, limiting OPEC+’s influence on global supply.
Attention is now shifting toward 2027 production quotas, with members reviewing capacity levels ahead of potentially difficult negotiations later this year.(*Walter Bloomberg)
