Trying out the RH LP trenches life
First day of September, officially back to start the LP journey on the RH chain.
Transferred in 11 ETH, currently opened 5 pools, with a total investment of 5.5 ETH.
Right now, 2 pools are profitable, 3 are at a loss (LP position value vs. USD).
The profitable ones are the ones with the least principal invested because I thought they were high risk.
On the other hand, those with FDV 10M and 25M, which I thought were relatively safe, are all underwater at the moment.
Of course, it’s only been a few hours. Low FDV, high risk, and high LP returns are normal since there’s always the risk of a sudden crash to zero or a RUG pull.
As they say, gains and losses come from the same source—risk and reward are proportional.
One big takeaway: it’s quite a hassle.
In general, there are a few steps/processes:
1. Filter TOKENS (this step is crucial to avoid SCAM tokens).
2. Choose a POOL (there are usually many pools, so you need to decide which one to join, or even consider creating your own).
3. Select the range (V3 and V4 require you to consider the range, unless you go with V2, but the returns might be significantly lower).
4. Invest your principal.
5. Monitor, take profit, and cut losses.
That’s roughly the 5 steps. Sounds simple, right? But once you actually do it, you’ll realize it’s not that easy.
That said, from my experience, the current RH chain (Robinhood) might not be as crazy as the Solana chain MEME hype at the end of 2024, but compared to the past few months, it’s already pretty hot.
Worth giving it a shot.
