Prediction: some smaller TradFi shitco’s, microcaps and highly-shorted stocks are going to start tokenizing themselves, putting themselves onchain, then pairing their shitco tokenized stock with a memecoin or an altcoin in hopes of temporarily pumping their own price and finding exit liquidity. Where DATs were shitcoins seeking a pump from additional TradFi liquidity, this will be TradFi shitCos using the blockchain world to try to trigger a pump from additional crypto games and crypto ponzinomics. DATs in reverse, in a way. Why is this still ultimately unexciting? The first shitco that does this will go up by 8x, the second 5x, the fifteenth one that does this will go up by 2-3x, ultimately the entire technique eventually being fully arbitraged away and ineffective at causing a meaningful pump. More generally, none of these "new" Ponzi or "crypto alchemy" games mean anything in the end or create anything of global significance, cultural impact or any meaningful wealth redistribution at scale. You will not inspire extreme belief, zeal and obsession in people by simply routing some trading fees or minigame fees towards a couple million in treasury stock holdings. When attention inevitably fades, what remains of these "animalcoin/stock" pairs will simply turn into small, stagnant DeFi investment DAOs, which we have already seen dozens of in the past. The New is just well-forgotten Old. Remember the 2023-era crypto adage? "Your either die a hero, or live long enough to turn into an Investment DAO" You cannot engineer, mechanism-design or tokenomics your way towards Pure Belief. Eventually people will understand that the only thing that ever mattered in crypto, the only true "fundamental", and the only actual way to take a crypto coin to $500B+ and beyond -- is raw belief, insane community, extreme unprecedented levels of diamondhandedness, an epic mission and the spirit to persist for a long time. As cult-coins begin to replace memecoin hypergambling, and movement-coins replace cults, one stands leagues above everything else.
