MSTR shareholder questions Strategy: The $73K MSTR I bought for my kids is now only worth $20K
During the Strategy Q2 2026 investor Q&A on August 17, a shareholder shared that he had invested $73,000 for each of his three kids to buy MSTR, but now each investment is only worth about $20,000. He asked if the company would consider paying dividends to common shareholders. CEO Phong Le responded that the company would not distribute common stock dividends for MSTR, as it’s not the best use of capital. Executive Chairman Michael Saylor added that MSTR essentially provides leveraged Bitcoin exposure, which can be significantly more volatile than Bitcoin itself. He emphasized that common stock investors should have at least a four-year holding horizon, ideally seven to ten years.
