ethereum:0xda5e1988097297dcdc1f90d4dfe7909e847cbef6 bounced back a bit after hitting around 0.05 multiple times. Turns out there’s some good news—on August 14, WLFI’s trust bank license application received preliminary approval from U.S. regulators. Currently, USD1 is mainly issued and reserve-custodied by BitGo. If officially approved, WLFI could reduce its reliance on BitGo and, in the future, directly handle USD1 issuance, reserve custody, asset management, and settlement through its own regulated trust bank.
Looking at the K-line, every time it hits 0.05, there’s a rebound. Turns out the cost of the second round of public fundraising was at this price. Looking back, WLFI raised a total of $550 million across two public sales rounds:
First round at $0.015, selling 20 billion tokens to raise $300 million;
Second round at $0.05, selling 5 billion tokens to raise $250 million.
Additionally, the new unlocking plan set for May 2026 is a 2-year cliff + 2-year linear unlock.
