Whoa, Unitree just wrapped up its IPO, and now they’ve dropped their 'Superman': 0.85-meter legs that run faster than Bolt Unitree suddenly unveiled a brand-new humanoid robot today: it can jump 2 meters straight up, hit a max speed of 12.66 m/s, and its legs are only 0.85 meters long. For comparison, Bolt’s top speed during his 100m world record run was about 12.42 m/s. Unitree straight-up said: breaking human limits. What’s kinda crazy is, this isn’t even their flagship product that’s been in development for years. Unitree claims this new machine went from R&D to now in just over 3 months, and there’s still a lot of room for improvement in the coming months. The timing is interesting too—Unitree just completed its STAR Market IPO subscription on August 10, with an issue price of 150.80 RMB, giving it a post-IPO valuation of around 61 billion RMB. The capital market just set its value, and now they’re showing the world something else: the physical performance limits of humanoid robots are still far from being reached. Humanoid robots used to focus on walking like humans. Now, Unitree is already doing things the human body simply can’t.
