For platforms, no matter which one, it's all about trading volume. Whether or not there are long-term projects doesn’t really affect the platform much. What platforms want is a constant stream of new attention-grabbing projects, not sparse, long-term projects that aim to go further. Is it easier to expect a project to maintain high trading volume every day for 2 years or to expect new projects to pop up every day for 2 years? That’s why platforms don’t care if a project is long-term or not. As long as there’s a steady flow of new projects launching, whether they last three days, five days, or just 3.5 hours, it doesn’t matter. Remember a while ago, a certain platform was even encouraging devs to launch more projects? That’s the underlying driver here. So retail investors should stop hoping for long-term projects. Nobody has the patience anymore. Just accept that the lifespan of meme projects will inevitably get shorter and shorter, and learn to adapt to this reality over time.
