The US Treasury Department issued US $42 billion of 10-year treasury bond, and the bid winning yield rose to the highest level since 2007. The yield of 10-year US Treasury bonds rose to an 18 month high of around 4.75%, while the yield of 30-year US Treasury bonds hovered above 5.2%. The long-term financing cost of the US government is jointly dominated by fiscal factors, inflation, oil prices, and investor risk preferences.
