Eco Routes Launches Cross-Chain Token Swap Functionality with LayerZero Settlement by Default

Stablecoin infrastructure project Eco announced that the Eco Routes API has launched the 'Any-to-Any Swaps' feature, enabling users to exchange any token on one chain for any token on another chain through a single quote call, with solvers only needing to hold stablecoins during the intermediate process. This functionality defaults to using LayerZero as the settlement configuration and initially covers all EVM chains and Solana supported by Eco. The process includes atomically swapping the input token into stablecoins on the source chain, transferring via Eco's existing cross-chain stablecoin channels, and converting the stablecoins into the target token on the destination chain for direct delivery to the recipient. Eco stated that platforms integrated with the Routes API can use this feature without upgrading contracts or migrating, and solvers do not need to maintain long-tail token inventories.
