[Accel Raises $3.5 Billion New Fund for Global Early-Stage AI Startup Investments]
According to Bloomberg, venture capital firm Accel has raised a $3.5 billion new fund to invest in global early-stage AI startups. The funds are divided into four separate funds: a $1.35 billion Global Growth Fund (for larger early-stage rounds and rapid follow-on investments), an $800 million U.S. Fund (primarily targeting Silicon Valley), an $800 million Europe and Israel Fund, and a $550 million India Fund. Accel partners stated that the firm is raising more funds earlier and faster than ever before, which brings both significant opportunities and accompanying risks.
