[Google's Own AI Safety Team 'Distrusts' Internal AI Recruitment System, Privately Guides Applicants to Bypass Automated Screening] DeepTech TechFlow reports that on August 11, according to Bloomberg, Google's DeepMind AGI Safety and Alignment Team was recently revealed to have privately provided job applicants with a special application form. Candidates were asked to fill out this additional form alongside submitting their official resumes to avoid the risk of being filtered out by the company's internal AI recruitment system. Documents obtained by Bloomberg show that the form included a disclaimer stating 'Do not widely distribute.' This incident is quite ironic—Google has been actively promoting its AI recruitment screening tools to enterprise clients, claiming they can efficiently process large volumes of job applications. Yet, the team within Google most focused on researching AI risks and alignment issues appears to have significant reservations about the reliability of its own system and has taken concrete steps to circumvent it.
